Make Your Message Stick with Promotional Marketing

You have a myriad of methods to share your company’s or organization’s story.  But will they – your client, prospect, staff, or volunteers – remember it until the next phone call or other interruption?

Promotional marketing is all about helping them to remember.  Promotional marketing uses common everyday products, with branding, to tell the story, sell their products and service, say “thanks” to customers and employees.  This is called Making Your Message Stick.

Case in point.  CHH Engraving was recently at a Chamber of Commerce networking event.  We went around the table introducing ourselves and our companies.  Everybody shared.  We probably got half the names and companies.  And of the thirty people, 15 minutes later we could only recall three names. And it was more so three “people I wanted to meet”, whether we recalled names or not.

When we reintroduced ourselves to one person, gave her a CHH Engraving card and a Post-It pad and pen with the company name on it. Unsolicited, here is an email we received a few days later:

I must admit, I tucked the pen in my briefcase after the meeting and didn’t pull it out until yesterday and was absolutely delighted to find it lights up – what a great feature! It’s my new favorite. And I’ve already put the sticky notes to work, big fan of those and can always use more.

When she needs tools to help her company’s message be remembered and recalled, we would hope and expect that CHH Engraving would be top of mind.

This is promotional marketing.  This is making your message stick.
