One of the most functional products for promotional marketing is the shirt – no longer limited to t-shirts as the promotional marketing industry now offers fashion tops, athletic wear, and much more. Being functional is one of the most important elements in selecting items for use in your promotional marketing campaign. If you are offering something without practical value, you not only defeat your purpose, but you can upset people by adding to their “clutter closet” or the landfill.
Everyone wears a shirt. Shirts are widely visible (at least during the warmer months). Shirts offer multiple opportunities for branding and sharing information, such as your website, upcoming events, sponsor names, logos and much more.
In the early years of CHH Engraving, we shied away from the apparel business. The many variables – material, sizes, color, print color, print location and more – seemed overwhelming. But over the years, CHH Engraving has become more comfortable with branded t-shirts, being able to recommend shirts the suit customer needs.
Who could benefit from branded shirts? Electrical contractors (but they MUST be 100% cotton for safety reasons). Schools, PTOs, and colleges in many departments. Banks and other financial institutions. Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Junior Achievement, and other organizations offering local and regional events.
Three recent orders showcase the functionality of shirts in promotional marketing. The first was for a small equipment repair company that sends technicians into restaurants. The owner wanted the technicians to be immediately identified to staff and patrons so he outfitted them with logo t-shirts. The second is an employment agency who hired a new business development person and wanted him identified by his company when he went to Chamber and other events. She got him polos embroidered with their logo. The third is an affiliate of a national organization who is holding a fundraising 5K Run/Walk. They ordered t-shirts with the event information on the front and sponsor logos on the back. It embodied all the key elements of promotional marketing – identifying the organization hosting the event and the individuals participating, promoting the event, and recognizing the sponsors who supported the event.
Branded shirts help identify your staff and volunteers, promote your business and events, and recognize achievement and support. Talk to CHH Engraving today about how you can connect with your customers further through branded t-shirts.
